Digitizing the Berkeley Folk Music Festival Archive

Wonderful article on NEH-funded progress digitizing the Berkeley Folk Music Festival archive at the Northwestern University Library. How does one handle digitizing an archive of this size (over 30,000 artifacts, some of which require special approaches to digitization due to their size, condition, or content). We are going to be able to do great historical inquiry with this collection of materials and it’s a wonder to behold the care and attention the archivists, librarians, conservationists, and other specialists are putting into the project!:
