A wonderfully little simple data sonification project that Justin Joque, Spatial and Numeric Data Services Librarian at the University of Michigan Library, completed a few years ago. He sonified the increase in high frequency trading as revealed in the Dow Jones Industrial Average quite literally (or better said, sonically).
